WEKFEST IS BACK IN TOWN BRUH!
Wekfest is a showcase exhibition of individuals and businesses from the aftermarket automotive industry. A combination of celebrating refined automotive passion, and blending with the sub cultures of today’s youth, Wekfest is the preferred destination to a well rounded automotive gathering.
It’s our first time to attend WEKFEST and just couldn’t wait for that day. The theme was USDM VS JDM. Who wouldn’t want to see that? As I entered the exhibition hall, The first thing that came to my mind was, “Where was I four years ago?” We were just stunned by this massive auto haven.
It’s been almost a year now since I was first introduced to the automotive community. I have attended a number of car shows here in Japan, but I could definitely say that WEKFEST Japan is one of my favorites. The cars, the people & the whole community.
USDM VS JDM
These Crimson red cars are litt!…
What’s so great about this particular event is you get to talk to the car owners in person and communicate with them which contributed a lot to my knowledge. They have this atmosphere of welcoming both beginners and pros in this community. Makes you feel like it doesn’t matter where you’re from or what you do.. If you have passion for cars, you belong.
Also, I’m surprised to know that WEKFEST Japan is only on it’s fourth year but this event has grown steadily over the past four years. I’m just stoked that I get to see this year’s show.
Wekfest Japan IV got together with exotic cars and awesome people but what’s different about it is the variation in the car community, of different cultures yet uniting for a common purpose, which is to show and share their passion for cars.
Every car, vendor, visitor who participated in the event has their own passion, idea where people gather to promote today’s car culture. Another important part of Wekfest follows the history, traditions of the car community.
And of course Lowenhart wheels showin’ off
Old-school authentic cars living in the present. Bringing back the past to the future. People just doing their own thing. We saw a lot of passion and we were really mesmerized by the skills of pro designers, how much work and effort they put in their craft. The chance to share Wekfest with other countries of the world.
Cross-cultured Auto community
As a half Filipino-Japanese, I am forever proud of my two heritage. The ‘pinoy pride’ is always with me wherever I go. What I didn’t expect is to meet fellow Filipinos in Wekfest Japan that made me stand out with pride even more. It’s the one and only, JABONGGA CAR GROUP.
I am so glad to finally meet them proudly showing off their dopest car with the Filipino flag hanggin’ on the rear view mirror of this beautiful Honda Civic. .It was just awesome, ‘dre!
The Jabongga family is a Filipino car group in Japan consisting of 17 members sharing the same passion. The group was founded by Mr. Jayz Ty and Mr. Norman Albert Santiago about 4 years ago. Better look out for a collaboration between Jabongga and AME Wheels.
Maraming Salamat po sa inyo, Jabongga family!
In the end, it is all about the chance to share the Automotive culture with other countries of the world. WEKFEST. BURNING PASSION FOR CARS.
WE THINK OF THE FUTURE. AME WHEELS.
